Description:
A Miniature Goldendoodle is a mixed dog, a hybrid cross between a Golden Retriever and a Miniature or Toy Poodle. The Goldendoodles come in three sizes: Miniature Goldendoodle, Small Goldendoodle and Standard Goldendoodle. Miniature Goldendoodle also is known as Mini Groodle, Mini Goldenpoo, Mini Goldenoodle or Mini Groodles.
Height: 13-20 inches Weight: 15-35 pounds Lifespan: 10-14 years
Characteristics:
The ideal weight for a Miniature Goldendoodle is 15 to 35 pounds. If your Miniature Goldendoodle is active, it should have no problems staying within this weight limit. The Goldendoodle is not recognized by American Kennel Club (AKC), but this hybrid dog is getting more popular. The Miniature Goldendoodle have a life expectancy of 10 to 14 years.
Character:
The Miniature Goldendoodles are very smart and loyal dogs, like Poodles and Retrievers. Both are in the top ten most intelligent dogs in the world. This hybrid dog is very intelligent and non-aggressive, they are quite friendly and get along well with children. The Miniature Goldendoodles are great family and companion dogs.
Health Problems:
Since this is a breed mixture is taken into account concern about the health of both the Golden Retriever and Poodle. Both breeds are prone to hip dysplasia and cataracts and other health problems inherited. The health of a dog designer can be a problem in general. You must seek and find a reputable breeder.
Coat / Care:
Miniature Goldendoodles have three types of coat: The straight coat, which is flat and resembles more of a golden retriever coat; the wavy coat type is a mixture of a poodle’s curls, and a golden retriever’s straighter coat; the curly coat, which tends to look more like the poodle coat. The most common colors for Miniature Goldendoodles are black, brown, gray, red, white, and yellow. Only after the dog’s coat is completely formed, it starts to require some care. Shedding is moderate so grooming is quite easy. Like all hybrids, these dogs are hypoallergenic, so they are can supposedly be tolerated by people who have allergies to dogs.
Training:
Training is one of the most important aspects of a Miniature Goldendoodle puppy’s life. They are intelligent dogs, learn quite easily. When they grow up, they will have two to three walks a day for about 30 minutes (which is also great for people!) The great thing about this dog is that they also love to relax.
Activity:
The Miniature Goldendoodles are great both indoors and outdoors. However, this breed needs long walks on a daily basis, especially if you do not have a fenced yard where the dog could walk freely. If you train your Miniature Goldendoodle to swim at the young age, he will benefit from this genuine pleasure.
